Our philosophy on teams is built on the belief that together, we achieve more. Whether on the pitch, in our community initiatives, or within any of our groups, we strive to create an environment where every individual can thrive and contribute to a shared purpose.
At Doune & Dunblane Cricket, we offer the Junior Playing formats introduced by Cricket Scotland in 2018. These formats provide an exceptional playing and learning experience for boys and girls in the formative years of their cricket journey.
Based on overwhelming research from Cricket Australia, these age/stage-appropriate formats have proven to offer vastly improved experiences for children, resulting in more fun, more action, and better skills development.
We are proud to offer our young cricketers a pathway that is designed to meet their specific developmental needs. By utilising these formats, we ensure that our players have access to the best possible opportunities to learn and grow in a supportive environment.
At Doune & Dunblane Cricket Club, we're passionate about making cricket a sport for everyone. That's why we're deeply committed to building and nurturing women's cricket in Doune, Dunblane, and the surrounding areas. We're dedicated to creating a welcoming and supportive environment where women and girls of all ages and skill levels can discover the joy of the game, develop their abilities, and forge lasting friendships. Whether you're picking up a bat for the very first time or looking to get back into competitive play, our club is the perfect place to grow with us and be a part of the exciting future of women's cricket.

In 2026, we are excited to be joining the Strathmore & Perthshire Cricket Union (SPCU). Our senior team will be competing in Division 3 for the season. This move marks a fantastic new chapter for the club, offering a great balance of competitive play and development. We are always looking for new players—whether you are an experienced cricketer looking to test your skills in the league or a relative beginner keen to learn the game in a structured environment.
Cricket isn't just about league points! For those who prefer a relaxed pace, we organise friendly and social matches against local clubs throughout the season.
These games are perfect for:
Players who cannot commit to a full league season
Newcomers learning the rules of the game
Parents, volunteers, and returning players looking for fun, less intensive matches.
We believe cricket is for everyone, regardless of age, gender, or previous experience. We warmly welcome all new members—the best way to find out if you like it is to come along and give it a go! We think you'll be surprised how much you enjoy the game and the social side of the club.
